Arizona Veteran Security is growing with projected openings for P/T Unarmed Special Response Team professionals to assist client for multiple short term rental properties.
The ideal candidate must be able to work throughout the Phoenix Metro area if needed to respond to client sites on a 2-hr notice. This team will enforce client policy violations for all properties.
Applicants will fill current and future opening for requests of client
Pay:
$17 with current AZ Unarmed License
$18 with current AZ Unarmed AND Armed License card
$19 with current AZ Unarmed License and Armed License card AND at least one of the other listed preferred qualifications
Shift:
Day, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays
Great position for applicants that have a flexible schedule.
Hours:
Will vary depending on client requirements. All officers will receive a minimum of 2 hours pay regardless of time spent on property.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years’ experience as a security officer, corrections, military, or law enforcement
- 21 years or older
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate and be able to travel within Metro Phoenix.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Current AZ DPS unarmed license
- Willing to attend a paid in person company orientation prior to post
- Professional and clean cut appearance
- Provide protection to the client and their properties, while maintaining a low-profile.
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully negotiate conflict and remain flexible
- Must possess ability to interact with all levels of management, liaison internally and externally with guest and personnel.
- Must be able to persuade and implement security requirements and policies to guests.
- Must have strong oral communication and representational skills and have the ability to write in a clear and precise manner.

Physical Requirements:
- Stand, sit, and walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces.
- Climb stairs or ramps during shift
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform strenuous tasks
- Lift or carry up to 25 pounds
- Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports
- Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers
- Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat
- Constant mental alertness and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current AZ Armed License
- Certification on baton, pepper spray and handcuffing
- Verifiable self-defense training
- Bilingual in conversational Spanish
- Verifiable verbal judo/conflict management/de-escalation training
